The first designated, and by far, most successful catch-and-release area in Arkansas, Dry Run Creek offers kids, under the age of sixteen, the chance to catch monster Trout on a fly rod. Dry Run Creek borders the Norfork National Fish Hatchery, at the base of Norfork Lake dam, before entering the Norfork tail water below the dam. Nutirent rich water enters the creek through several outflow pipes creating excellent habitat for large numbers of sowbugs, annelids and midges. Because the food sources for these Trout are very small insects, fly fishing is the most efective method. We provide everything the kids will need, and waders can be rented , if necessary.
